The Garden Filter differs from most rainwater filters in that it retains all captured dirt and leaves in a filter basket, which of course must be emptied regularly. But while it is not self cleaning, it does have the advantage of being 100% efficient as it does not need to wash away the dirt. Two inlets are provided, suitable for standard 110 mm drains, and the clean water outlet discharges from the base. This product is usually installed beneath the lid of the tank turret, but is also available with a telescopic extension and lid at the top of the filter of up to 750 mm for use where the filter is to be installed as a separate inspection chamber. The second water inlet can also be connected as an overflow in the event of blockage of the filter basket.
